Sunglasses, sea breeze and a white arch

a pebble beach, a flower arch

This elopement was built around a sea breeze and a pair of dark glasses. No guests, no speeches, just a planned list of places we wanted to visit in one afternoon.

We started on the beach for the soft light, moved to a garden arch and finished at a coloured wall that the couple had picked from a magazine.

The beach

Pebbles, low scrub and the sea close by. The wind made her skirt do the work, and the sunglasses meant they could relax without squinting.

The arch

A white arch with hanging cords stood in a grass field. They stood in it, I stood back, and the cords moved in the breeze behind them.

The wall

A warm orange wall, a pink velvet sofa and a bunch of white tulips. We took ten minutes there and kept all of it.

The glasses came off for the last two frames. I kept one of those, in black and white, as the album cover.
